Revisit exciting American Graffiti events held over the years!
Oscars Outdoors, Hollywood (CA) (August 2, 2013)
Clay Daily writes, "The Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences puts on a special showing of movies that were up for Academy Awards every Friday and Saturday night. The events are called "Oscars Outdoors" and can be found on the Internet. They have a large outdoor screen and a large area to sit to watch the movies. On August 2, 2013, the movie was American Graffiti and the tickets sold out early. Candy Clark had contacted everyone she could that had anything to do with the movie and asked them to be there as well as having us bring the Thunderbird and Rick Figari brought the yellow '32 coupe down. It was really a great event and had several of the stars (Candy Clark, Bo Hopkins, Cindy Williams, and Mackenzie Phillips), some of the screen writers, sound manager and the person that picked the actors for the various parts." Thanks for sharing, Clay and May!

The stars that were there this year were Paul La Mat, Candy Clark and Bo Hopkins." Thanks for keeping us in the loop, Clay and May!
Custom American Graffiti Cars
Jane Hunter of Slicks Garage, sent this note in August 2011. "Wanted to let you know that we are currently building two custom vehicles for the Andy and Johnathan Hillstrand, captains of the Time Bandit Crab fishing boat. Andy is having the 5-window coupe built and Johnathan the ’55 Chevy….they are inspired by their first visit to the drive-in with their Dad to see (of course) American Graffiti.
Both cars are going to be unique Time Bandit themed vehicles and they goal is for the brothers to film a “race” (with a different ending!) for their new TV show “Hillstranded”.
See Andy talking about the build on the Slicks Garage You Tube channel: Andy Hillstrand – Dec 2009 (before Slicks Garage opened in FL in Jan 2010) - http://www.youtube.com/embed/-zB_atiHDpg
